    1. Put your pattern on the fabric and fold your fabric in half right sides together. Start placing the pattern piece on the folded edges of the fabric. Make sure the print is facing in the right direction if you’re using a one-sided printed fabric.
    2. Start cutting from the back bodice. For the front bodice part, cut the back bodice neck style from the pattern. Now, fold your material in half right sides and start placing the pattern piece on the folded edges of the fabric.
    3. Open the bias tape and start unfolding two ends that are folded. Fold the bias tape in half the wrong side, press it, and set it aside for some time.
    4. Place the back and front side of your tunic right together, pin it and start sewing the shoulder seams—neat the hem by completing the edges with a serger or zigzag stitches.
    5. Now, pick shoulder seam and pin bias binding on the right side of the tunic neckline.
    6. Pin folded bias binding so that half inches of it is behind the shoulder seam. Pin bias binding to the neckline until you reach your starting point. You will be able to notice that the bias binding is longer than the neckline.
    7. Unfold and pin both ends of bias, binding right sides together to fit the opening. Start sewing the pinned area and cut out excessive bias binding, which will leave 1/4th inch.
    8. Refold bias binding on the neckline, sew it, and cut the seam allowance to 1/4th inches.
    9. On the wrong side of your tunic, start from one shoulder’s seam. Stitch the binding till the neckline 1/8th inches from the binding edge.
    10. Sew the shoulder seam on the back and fold the sleeve hem on the wrong sides together, utilizing a 3/8th inch allowance to prepare the sleeve. Unfold the sleeves that you pressed in the previous step and pin the front and back of the tunic together from sleeves to hem.
    11. Snip the underarm seam corner to lay it flat and refold sleeve hems. Now you have your unique tunic top, which you can style at your convenience.
