sort and store your quilting tools by use,  store them near your work area;	Quilting rulers go together, sewing scissors together, etc.  Or you can hang your tools on a bar above the sewing cutting table.	Try to figure out how to follow this plan. Having your favorite tools within reach will help you stay super productive.
think about how you use your patterns	If you come back often to several patterns that are close to your heart, keep them nearby.	You can store them, for example, in a three-ring binder. Look for them in: office stores,  Walmart, and  Target;  Add tabs to keep them organized, and you’ll never have to look for any pattern in your life.
patterns	Don’t lose your fav patterns from the sight.	You can permanently save a backup of the PDF pattern on a thumb or hard drive. After you print them, you can store them, for example, in cardboard magazine holders.
sort your books and magazines	Limit your magazines and book to one single shelf—a maximum of two. Come on; you don’t need to have all of them always around!	If there are any magazines or books that you’re not so much into anymore, give them away or donate. It’s kind and fashionable to pass along books and magazines.

Tip	Description	Good to consider
your favorite magazine patterns	You have your beloved magazine patterns, that’s for sure. Mind that you don’t have to store the whole magazine every time.	Simply tear out particular pages and store them in page protectors in a three-ring binder.
fabric storage	At this stage, you’ll have to rethink your decision process. How do you choose fabric when you start to sew? Is it by: designer,  color, or maybe style?	Store your fabric according to how you use it. For example, if colors most often stimulate you, store your fabric accordingly. It will help you to enhance your creative processes. They don’t like too much analysis.
storage bins	Corral your fabric storage in bins. Every size and shape that fits your space will do!	You can move your storage bins around and stack: on shelves,  in closets, or even under the bed;  After you take your stuff, you click on the lid and put the bin back on the shelf.

sort scraps	Sorting your scraps is not about being so correct. It’s a matter of being able to find everything, anytime you need it to work.	You can store your scraps by color or size; it’s up to you.  Whatever works, as Woody Allen says.
store your projects	Remember to store all the stuff related to one project together.	The easier it is to track all pieces of the puzzle, the more likely you’ll get back to working on your project.
keep track of your projects	Use:  a planner, or  a tracking sheet; They can be hard copy or virtual. It will help you to keep track of your projects. Ideally, no project should be left behind.	There are two advantageous options to keep up with your otherwise-floating ideas: The Quilting Organizer Pack from Maker Valley, and  The Quilt Project Planner free downloads from Hello Melly Designs; If you keep your projects organized, you’re more likely to finish them.

By the way, some sewers find it fun to dig through a bin of scraps. (We are not sure if those who find it amusing declared themselves adults, though). 

You dump the whole bin out and make a mess like a child. Also, you can try to be spontaneous with your actual kiddo. 

Clean-up is easy. You stuff everything back in, and you’re good to go.

When it comes to digital and hard copy being of projects, we should say a few words about the difference. 

1. 1. a digital form is helpful for a purely visual reference, 
   2. a hard copy works best for having your fabric at your fingertips;

  • create a swatch book for easy access to fabrics (both digital or a hard copy will do);
