How to sew in size labels
The center fold means both ends of the label go into a seam, so only the folded edge shows and there is no raw end sticking out.

In the neck seam, below or beside your brand label. The first place customers look for the size.

In the side seam, next to the care label, if you want to keep the neck clean.

Before you close the seam. A center fold label has to be in place when the seam is stitched; adding it afterwards is much harder.
At 0.4 x 0.6 inches folded, the label is small enough not to be felt against the skin and large enough to read the size at a glance.
